I am a mom, wife, sister, daughter, friend, a crossfitter, runner, yogi and a health coach. I am passionate about cooking for my family and friends and find the experience of sharing my knowledge about cooking and nutrition incredibly rewarding. I was introduced to a paleo lifestyle over five years ago and committed to focusing on improving my own health and that of my family during the past two and a half years. I started this blog to keep track of my recipes and share them with others.
My business, Contemporary Cavegirl, is a Nutritional Coaching and Cooking Practice that promotes a Paleo Lifestyle. Although I focus a great deal of my efforts on helping clients determine what to eat, we also spend time learning how to create fast and easy meals that are both nutritious and satisfying. Additionally, I teach my clients that in order to achieve overall health, they need to learn not just what to eat, but how to eat! My practice emphasizes customized programs based on individual needs and lifestyle goals. I lead group nutritional programs, which allow for meaningful connections between participants. My business also includes Group Cooking classes that educate participants on how to prepare delicious and easy meals from scratch using real food.
I am a Certified Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (graduation June 2015, all requirements have been achieved) and am continuing my studies at the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, where I will complete my certification in the fall of 2015.
